Your data
What Svitgrid stores, how long it keeps it, and how to get rid of it.
What is stored
- Your account — email, name, optional photo.
- Your household — name, location, tariff, equipment description.
- Readings — power, energy, battery, voltages, temperatures from your inverter.
- Commands — every setting Svitgrid changed, and who triggered it.
Svitgrid does not collect the contents of your home network, and does not read anything on your phone beyond what the app itself stores.
How long it is kept
| What | Kept |
|---|---|
| The live reading | Current only, overwritten |
| 5-minute detail | 7 days |
| Hourly detail | 90 days |
| Daily, weekly, monthly totals | Indefinitely |
| Command history | 90 days |
This is why a chart of last week has minute-level shape and a chart of two years ago has one point per day.
Where it is
On Google Cloud, in Europe. Traffic between your collector, the cloud and your phone is encrypted.
Local mode
With Home Assistant in local mode and cloud sync off, readings stay on your own hardware and never reach Svitgrid at all. See Local mode for what you give up.
Deleting it
Settings → Account → Delete account closes your account and detaches every household you own. The homes become unreachable to everyone, their identifying details are anonymised, and attached hardware loses its access. The stored readings are retained in anonymised form rather than erased row by row.
It cannot be undone, and nothing can be restored afterwards. If you want the readings themselves erased as well, email hello@svitgrid.app from your account address and say so.
