Moving collection to another phone
In short
If your phone is the collector, you can hand that job to a different phone by scanning a code.
Useful when you replace your phone, or want an old one left at home as a dedicated collector.
How to do it
- On the old phone: Settings → Inverter settings → Transfer collection. It shows a QR code.
- On the new phone: sign in to the same account, open the household, and scan the code.
- Collection moves across.
The code is short-lived. If it expires, generate a new one.
What changes
The new phone becomes responsible for reading the inverter. The old one keeps full access to the app — it simply stops collecting. Your history is untouched.
A spare phone makes a decent collector
Leave it plugged in, on the home Wi‑Fi, with Svitgrid open and the screen allowed to stay awake. It is not as reliable as a Gateway — phones sleep, updates restart them — but it is far better than nothing.
