Organisations and fleet

In short

If your account belongs to an organisation, Svitgrid adds a second set of screens for looking after many households at once. If you only have your own home, you will never see them.

Most people use Svitgrid for one home. An organisation is for someone who looks after many — an installer, an aggregator, or a company running sites for other people.

An organisation does not change how any single household works. It adds a layer above them.

Organisation

The fleet screens

  • Fleet map — every enrolled household as a point on a map. A household with no coordinates does not appear on it; set its location in household settings.
  • Alerts — problems from every site in one list, so you do not have to open each household to find them.
  • Arbitrage — buying and selling against market prices across the fleet.

Two kinds of invitation

They arrive in the same inbox and mean different things.

  • Your household is invited into an organisation. An operator asks to look after your site. Your household stays yours.
  • You are invited as an operator. You join the organisation's team and can see every household enrolled in it.

Accept or decline either from Organisation invitations.

Accepting is a sharing decision

Enrolling your household lets the organisation's operators see its data. Decline if you did not expect the invitation.
