Day-ahead market (РДН)

In short

In Ukraine, electricity has a different price every hour, published a day ahead. Svitgrid shows those prices and can schedule around them.

Where the prices come from

Svitgrid fetches the official day-ahead prices for Ukraine every hour and stores them by date and hour. Tomorrow's prices appear once the market publishes them, usually in the afternoon.

Seeing them

Turn on the price overlay on the Calendar timeline. Expensive hours and cheap hours become obvious at a glance.

Using them

With the Day-ahead market or Active consumer tariff selected, you can set:

  • Minimum selling price — do not export below this, default 5.00 ₴/kWh.
  • Maximum charging price — do not charge from the grid above this, default 3.00 ₴/kWh.
  • Maximum battery cycles per day — stops arbitrage wearing the battery out, 0 to 4.

A Sell to grid or Charge battery calendar event can then take the price into account, and the daily planner will place windows in the cheapest and dearest hours by itself.

Buying at market price needs registration

Without УЗЕ registration you pay the standard household rate no matter what the market does, so the buy-side thresholds will not save you anything. Selling is unaffected.
