Terms of Service
Last updated: June 11, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Svitgrid mobile application, web service, edge connector devices, and related software (together, the "Service"), operated by Svitgrid ("we", "our", or "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Svitgrid, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference. If you use the Service on behalf of a household or organization, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
2. Description of the Service
Svitgrid is a solar energy monitoring and management platform. It lets you view real-time and historical data from your solar inverter and battery, receive alerts, and — where your equipment supports it — send control commands such as changing inverter modes, managing battery charging, and starting or stopping a connected generator or EV charger. Features depend on your inverter model, firmware, and configuration, and may change over time.
3. Accounts and Eligibility
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. The Service is not directed at children under 13, and you must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data, households, or devices
- Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on our infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, tamper with, or circumvent security or safety controls, except as permitted by law
- Resell or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission
5. Edge Devices, Firmware, and Over-the-Air Updates
If you use a Svitgrid edge connector device, you agree that we may deliver firmware and software updates to it over the air to improve functionality, security, and reliability. Updates may install automatically. We work to make updates safe — including automatic rollback if a device fails to boot — but you are responsible for ensuring your device has network connectivity and a stable power supply during updates.
6. Inverter, Battery, and Generator Control — Important Safety Disclaimer
The Service can send control commands to your inverter, battery, generator, and EV charger. Solar and energy-storage equipment is powerful and potentially hazardous. You are solely responsible for the safe installation, configuration, maintenance, and operation of your equipment, and for ensuring that any commands you send or schedule are appropriate and safe for your hardware.
Control commands and automated schedules (for example, battery charging plans, generator auto-start, or time-of-use settings) are provided as a convenience and may be affected by connectivity loss, inverter firmware behavior, register-map differences between models, or incorrect configuration. You must not rely on the Service for safety-critical functions, and you should always follow the safety instructions of your equipment manufacturer and qualified installer. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Svitgrid is not liable for any equipment damage, energy loss, outage, injury, or other harm resulting from the use of, or inability to use, control features.
7. Third-Party Services and Equipment Compatibility
The Service interoperates with third-party inverters, data loggers, home-automation systems, and cloud providers that we do not control. We list supported and verified inverter models for your convenience, but we do not warrant that any particular device, register map, or feature will work with your specific hardware or firmware. Your use of third-party products and services is governed by their own terms.
8. Service Availability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including for maintenance, security, or operational reasons.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Svitgrid and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, energy, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, for the Service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via our account deletion page.
11. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by Svitgrid or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to our trademarks, logos, or branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive — including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will remain in effect.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the competent courts of Ukraine, unless mandatory local consumer-protection law provides otherwise.
