Svitgrid ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Svitgrid mobile application and web service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google profile.
Solar System Data: We collect data from your solar inverter, including energy production, battery status, grid usage, and load consumption. This data is transmitted from your inverter via your local network.
Device Information: We may collect basic device information such as device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting and improving the app.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Svitgrid service
- To display your solar energy data in real-time
- To send you alerts and notifications about your solar system
- To improve and optimize the app experience
- To provide customer support
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud Platform (Firebase/Firestore). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Your inverter connection credentials (IP address, serial number) are stored encrypted.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data or solar energy data with third parties. We may share anonymized, aggregated statistics for research purposes. We use the following third-party services:
- Firebase Authentication - for secure sign-in
- Cloud Firestore - for data storage
5. Household Sharing
You may invite other users to view your household's solar data. Invited members can see the solar system data for that household. You can remove members at any time.
6. Data Retention
We retain your solar energy data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by visiting our account deletion page or contacting us.

You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your solar energy data
8. Children's Privacy
Svitgrid is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
