Victron inverter monitoring through your GX device
Svitgrid reads your MultiPlus-II or Quattro-II over Modbus TCP, through the GX device on your home network. You see your station in the app, with history and forecast. Svitgrid only reads Victron: it changes none of its settings.

How Victron connects
Svitgrid talks to the GX device over Modbus TCP on port 502. The GX must be on the same network as the phone or board that reads it.
Switch on Modbus TCP
On the GX device, open Settings → Services → Modbus TCP and switch it on. Svitgrid cannot read the inverter until it is on.
The IP address
Svitgrid needs the GX device's address on your home network. The app can search your network for it, or you can find the address in your router's list of connected devices. No logger serial is needed.
Around the clock
While your phone is on the home network, the app reads the GX by itself. For history while you are away, use the Home Assistant integration, or flash the free Svitgrid firmware on your own ESP32-S3. In Ukraine, the ready ED-1 gateway does the same.

What to know in advance
Read-only
Svitgrid shows what the inverter does and changes none of its settings. You keep setting up the inverter on the GX device or in VictronConnect.
No grid energy totals
Victron does not report grid import and export energy, so those totals stay empty in the app.

Which app works with Victron inverters?
Besides VictronConnect and VRM, Victron inverters work with Svitgrid, an app for Android and iPhone. Svitgrid reads the MultiPlus-II and Quattro-II over Modbus TCP on port 502, through the GX device. Switch on Settings → Services → Modbus TCP on the GX first. Svitgrid only reads Victron, and Victron support is new.
Can I control a Victron from the app?
No. Svitgrid reads Victron but does not change its settings.
Why are my grid import and export totals empty?
Victron does not report grid import and export energy, so those totals stay empty.
The app does not find my Victron. What now?
Check that Modbus TCP is on in the GX device, under Settings → Services → Modbus TCP, and that your phone is on the same network as the GX.
