Sunsynk inverter monitoring, with control from the app

Sunsynk hybrids are built on the same platform as Deye. Svitgrid reads your Sunsynk through its Solarman Wi-Fi stick on your home network, and changes its schedules and settings from the app: time-of-use slots, the work mode, and the export limit.

The app: from $2 a month; the day planner comes with the Plus plan.

Why Svitgrid if you already have Solarman

The Solarman app shows data from the cloud and updates it once every few minutes. Svitgrid reads the inverter directly on your network, so in the app you see what is happening now, not five minutes ago. You do not need the manufacturer's cloud for this.

How Sunsynk connects

A Sunsynk sends data through a Solarman Wi-Fi stick (the logger) on the inverter. Svitgrid needs two things: the stick's IP address on your network, and its serial number, printed on the stick's sticker.

Phone on the same Wi-Fi

While your phone is on the home network, the app reads the inverter by itself, and it can search your network for the stick.

Listed as a Deye entry

Sunsynk units are the same hardware as the matching Deye models, so the app lists them as Deye entries. Search for Sunsynk in the model picker, and it takes you to the right one.

Around the clock

For history while you are away, flash the free Svitgrid firmware on your own ESP32-S3 and plug it in next to the inverter. In Ukraine, the ready ED-1 gateway does the same.

Not sure your stick will work? Send a photo of its sticker on WhatsApp, and we will tell you.

What you change from the app

Time-of-use slots

Edit the inverter's time-of-use table from the app: until which time each slot runs, what battery level it aims for, and whether it may charge from the grid.

Work mode and export limit

Change the work mode, and cap how much power the inverter sends to the grid.

Draw it, and it runs

Select a period on the day chart and choose an action: charge from the grid, hold the charge, or generator. Svitgrid writes it to the inverter and restores your settings afterward. The day planner comes with the Plus plan.

Night tariff

Mark the hours of your night rate, and the battery charges from the grid then. The inverter needs two switches for this, not one. Svitgrid turns on both.

Support

Questions or a problem with your Sunsynk? Write to us.

Write to us on WhatsApp, in English, or to the Svitgrid group on Telegram. We read every message and answer fast: in the group, the bot sees your station through the diagnostic code from the app, so the conversation starts from data, not from clarifying questions.

We value people who report problems. A confirmed bug earns points, and points pay for your subscription.

Questions from Sunsynk owners

Which app works with Sunsynk inverters?

Besides Solarman, Sunsynk inverters work with Svitgrid, an app for Android and iPhone. It reads the inverter through the Solarman Wi-Fi stick on your network, and changes its schedules and settings from the app, as it does for Deye: Sunsynk is built on the same platform.

Can I control a Sunsynk from the app?

Yes. Svitgrid takes schedules and settings: calendar events, the daily planner, work modes, export limits, and time-of-use editing. The day planner comes with the Plus plan.

Why does the app list my Sunsynk as a Deye?

Sunsynk units are the same hardware as the matching Deye models, so the app lists them as Deye entries. Search for Sunsynk in the model picker to find yours.

Do I need a gateway?

No. While your phone is on the home network, the app reads the inverter by itself. For history while you are away, flash the free Svitgrid firmware on your own ESP32-S3. In Ukraine, you can get the ready ED-1 gateway instead.

How much does it cost?

The app: from $2 a month; the day planner comes with the Plus plan. The firmware for your own ESP32-S3 is free.
