Read your Edge’s logs

Connect the Edge to your computer

Use a USB-C data cable in a direct port, not a hub. The page finds out which module is connected and restarts it, so the log starts from boot.

Your browser shows a list of devices. Choose your Edge and press “Connect”.
Reading logs changes nothing on the EdgeIt restarts once and keeps its Wi-Fi and its link to your station.

“No device found” in the browser’s list

The USB-C cable must carry data; many cables only charge. Close anything else holding the port: the Arduino IDE, a terminal running idf.py monitor, or another tab with this page.

The Edge has two USB ports

One reaches the main module and the other the Zigbee module. The page names the one it found. To read the other, plug the cable into the other port and press “Choose another”.

The browser cannot connect at all

Reading logs needs Web Serial, which only Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave and Arc have, and only on a computer.
