Help & FAQ

Everything you need to get Svitgrid monitoring your solar system — and what to do if something isn't working.

Getting started

What is Svitgrid?

Svitgrid is a solar monitoring app for your phone. It shows your live solar production, battery charge, grid usage, and home consumption — plus daily and historical charts — all in one place. It works with most Deye, Sunsynk, Sol-Ark and Victron hybrid inverters.

How do I create an account?

Download the app, tap Create Account, and sign up with your email (you'll confirm it once), or use Sign in with Google or Sign in with Apple. Then sign in and follow the onboarding steps.

How do I connect my inverter?

There are two ways:

  • App on your Wi-Fi — if your inverter has a Wi-Fi data logger (stick), the app can read it directly while your phone is on the same network. Add the inverter during onboarding and enter its IP address and logger serial.
  • Svitgrid Edge box — a small device that stays plugged in and uploads readings 24/7, so you see data even when your phone is away or asleep. See the setup guide.
Which inverters are supported?

Most Deye, Sunsynk, and Sol-Ark hybrid inverters (1-phase and 3-phase, including HV commercial models), grid-tie string inverters, and microinverters — plus Victron GX systems (MultiPlus-II / Quattro) over Modbus TCP. You can also feed data from a Home Assistant setup. Pick your exact model in the app when adding an inverter. See the full compatibility list.

Using the app

What do the dashboard numbers mean?
  • Solar — power your panels are producing right now.
  • Battery — charge level (%) and whether it's charging or discharging.
  • Grid — power flowing to or from the grid (import vs. export).
  • Load — what your home is consuming.

The energy summary card adds up the day so far — how much solar went to your home, your battery, and the grid.

Can my family see the same data?

Yes. Each system is a household, and you can invite family members from Settings → Household. They sign in with their own account and see the same live data, with the access level you give them.

How do I add the home-screen widget?

On both iOS and Android, long-press your home screen, choose Widgets, find Svitgrid, and drop it in. The widget shows live solar and battery at a glance and refreshes in the background.

Account & privacy

How do I turn on two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Open Settings → Security and follow the prompts to enroll an authenticator app. If your email isn't verified yet, the app will guide you through verifying it first.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account and data from Settings → Account in the app, or from our account deletion page. This permanently removes your profile and personal data.

Where can I read the privacy policy?

Our full privacy policy explains what we collect and how it's used.

Troubleshooting

The app says "No readings received" — what now?
  • App-on-Wi-Fi: make sure your phone and the inverter's data logger are on the same Wi-Fi network, the inverter is powered on, and the IP address and logger serial are correct.
  • Edge box: check the box is powered and its light is solid (online). If it's blinking, re-run Wi-Fi setup — see the setup guide.
  • Pull down to refresh, then give it a minute for the first readings to arrive.
My numbers look wrong or impossible.

Double-check that you selected the exact inverter model when adding it — register layouts differ between models. If a value still looks off, contact us with a screenshot and we'll take a look.

The Edge box won't connect to Wi-Fi.

The Edge connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. Re-check the password, move it closer to the router, and re-run setup. Full steps and a light-pattern guide are in the setup guide.
